Yes, it may be "limited" but it is far more than enough. If you count the 4 storage tabs, and then your character's bags, it is far more than enough. Just sell stuff you don't need to the merchant.

The point is that we already have the Rune traders to 'store' them.
If you are not going tu use a rune, your are supposed to sell it. If you are going to use it, you'll probably use it within the next month.
Weapon upgrade traders and a way to unlock armors without having to store them would be way more useful than this. This would just encourage hoarding and using the most expensive ones as currency.

I see no reason why not to implement this. I think everyone will like this and it wont even set gw2 back that much.

Allowing runes to stack will initially make them more expensive. People will hoard them. When they aren't sold the price can only go up. Once they reach a fairly high price, however, people will sell. When white dye was first released it cost qite a bit. People hoarded. When they hit the 40K+ mark people sold, the price dropped. They are stackable but who has 250 white dyes?
Allowing runes to stack will increase the number of rune farmers. There are a couple of areas where sup vig runes drop pretty frequently. Allowing runes to stack will make these people very rich.
When I had one storage tab and no material storage I had storage problems. When materials were added I had some space, but soon had storage problems. More tabs were added, I have 10 chars with an army of heroes and, you guessed it, I have storage problems. We don't need more storage, we just need to sell the stuff we aren't using.

If I get drops of runes, etc I can use I would prefer to stack them into my inventory and storage to evenly distribute them rather than take up 5-10 spaces for a few runes.
It's a thing called being efficient.
Now if only some forum posters had a thing called common sense...

There's your reason. Probably the smartest thing I ever heard Mithran say.

Yet with current prices, there's no point to horde any runes.

I before proposed a rune booklet... but imagine everyone hording superior vigor... we just can't have that. I like the forced market idea.

wrong again.
it is to prevent a repeat of the superior absorb/superior vigor hoarders that held back supply to keep them pegged at 100K/75K respectinely.
Anet announced that since they were not falling as the other runes were they would increase the SUPERIOR ABSORB/SUPERIOR VIGOR DROP RATE BY 3X.
the prices went through the floor as the hoarded runes were dumped to get what they could before the new runes even hit the market.
40 per cent drop in 2 days flat and kept sliding since.
no way will ANET give those same hoarders infinite hold back hoarding space.

Your logic is flawing and you apparently know nothing about making optimal use of limited space. A majority of the posters in this thread have seen how this would be beneficial. Anet can either implement this or increase storage.
Back when the runes were limited, they were still getting sold rapidly. If anything most players would hold them for a week, maximum. And during these times the economy was quite good. Then ANet screwed the economy over by increasing the rates that the runes dropped. This was good for some players, but for those who actually worked and farmed to make their money from runes, it screwed them over. No one was hoarding the runes, they were selling them as soon as they got them. Especially absorption and vigor.

that gave roughly a 3Xincrease as the old rate was 1/3 average
you were not here when the rune farmers bitched about Anet ruining their rune gold mine but i was.

people needed them and paid your exorbident price or did without

for the rune farmers getting rich not for the playerbase

the playerbase cheered and the tiny splinter of rune farmers bitched on guru

they were hoardng or try to explain the 10x/20x sudden panic selling that dropped runes that had been locked at 100K/75K since the dawn of the game to half price before the new runes even dropped to affect the price.
Anet has the logs and did something to shake them lose.
wrong as usual
